"Your time is worth money"
Before you were able to buy that soda or bag of chips, you can be
sure that it went through taste tests and surveys for ad campaigns,
logos, package designs. They take everything into account from the
shape of the chip, the thickness, flavor, scent, texture even the
amount of salt. Why? It costs the manufactures a lot of money to
introduce a new product and they want to make sure it is just right.
How do they do that? They ask people like you. They ask people that
buy these products. Before they invest millions of dollars on a
product, they need to know what the consumer thinks.
This is good news for you in two ways. First off is that products
you might purchase have been tested by people like yourself so there
is a better chance you’ll like the product. Secondly, if you volunteer
to give your opinion or test products for them, chances are they’ll pay
you to do so.
Surveys are quite simple. Usually they just ask you questions and
you answer them as honestly as possible. If you’re not being honest
you’re really not helping them find out what they want to know. Some
surveys may reward you by putting you in a sweepstakes where only people
that have completed surveys may enter. Other surveys may offer money.
The amount may be anywhere from $1 - $150.00 or even more. Gift cards
and points for prizes are another option they may offer you for the survey
completion.
Focus Groups are like an extended, detailed survey. They sometimes last for several days or may be a short phone call. Focus groups may also require you to log on to a website or to show up in person. Focus groups often offer a much larger amount of money. Participating in surveys and focus groups it is possible to earn over $700 in one months time.

This section will have a list of survey sites that I have used and I know will pay you as they say they will. Some sites will have well over 100 survey sites you can go to. Some will work for youand some won't. Some may be a scam while others are not. If you're just starting out with survey sites, in my opinion this is a safe place to start.
Inbox Dollars This is not so much a servey site as some of the others. However lately I have been starting to receive small surveys from them for money. Another way you make money with Inbox Dollars is when they send you paid ads in your email box. Click on the ad to view and receive money. It's that easy. Also, if you use the site to shop through them elsewhere, you receive even more money. It all adds up quick. As I write this, they even credit your account $5 just for signing up!
Survey Savey pays in cash. They'll send out a check right to you. I have had no problems with receiving my money from them and they seem to send the money faster than they promise. I don't get as many surveys from them as I'd like but they are always good to see in my mail.
Global Opinion Panels or Synovate Another survey site that has sent me checks. Them seem very prompt and have had no problems receiving my money.
Mindfield sends out survey on a regular basis. Money from surveys adds up pretty quick. They require you to have $10 to cash out which is very easy to do and they pay you quickly compared to some others.
Ipsos i-Say Panel not only asks for your opinions on a wide variety of topics but also offers the chance to win cash and prizes for participating in their online surveys. You take surveys for points and cash out for gift cards and merchandise.
Greenfield Online will send you a lot of surveys in the mail. I find personally that most are either a sweepstakes entry or for a lower dollar amount. However if I go directly to the website a search for surveys I have a much better chance of finding good paying ones and some short focus groups that pay well for the very short time they take. When I decide to cash out, they send it to my paypal account and that doee not take them very long. So if you want to stay busy with chances for cash doing surveys, Greenfield Online will keep you busy.
Opinion Outpost has paid me well in the past and I have had no problems with them sending me the money. They do surveys for points that you can convert into money.
Focus Forward online and offline has a couple different ways to use their service and you many sign up for both if you'd like. If you have an interest in Focus Forward, would you please email me for a referral at this address.
Focus Forward Online. Complete email surveys for cash or opportunities to win prizes. Very limited demographic information is required. Typical Compensation Range: $1.00-$5.00 per survey. Enrollment Survey Time: 1 minute
Focus Forward Offline. In person focus groups, phone interviews and product testing for cash. More specific demographic information is required. Typical Compensation Range: $50-$200 Enrollment Survey Time: 5 Minutes
My Survey gives you points for surveys. A survey may get you several hundred points. You need 1000 points to cash out and that is worth $10.00 and it goes as high as $5,000.00 cash payment which requires 500000 points. If you keep up with them the points add up fast.
NPD sends a good amount of surveys. Some lead to good paying product tests and other will award you points you can use towards sweepstakes entries. You may place your entries on what ever sweepstake you want from daily cash give-a-ways to products. Worth checking out.
Online Beta is for testing out new products. One nice thing about beta testing products like printers, phone and many other electonic items is that when you're done with your review of the product, you usually get to keep the product you tested. So if you like trying out new things before the general public has a chance to get it. This is for you.
Nielsen Panel is not quite a survey site. They track what you do, what you listen even what you watch on TV. They do send surveys and usually pay cash. They also have a way to win even more prizes with their own sweepstakes.
Brand Institute is a very good site. I don't get a lot of offers from them but they usually pay very well and have no minimum to cash out. I received $75.00 for my most recent test through them. They are not so much a quanity site but the ones you do get pay well. Worth adding to your list or sign-ups.
American Consumer Opinion has been a good one for me. You didn't even have to ask for your money, they send it out on their own. However, starting mid December '08 your money will go into your account and when you're ready you may request your check. I don't receive tons of email from them and I do qualify for most of the surveys they send. This is a good one to have on your list.
Survey Spot will send quite a few surveys. It's a mixed bag. Some surveys are for sweepstakes entries while others pay cash. I tend to do quite well with this one. Some people do not like Survey Spot but I've had some very good paying surveys and online focus groups through them along with several product tests. When I request my money the check will arrive usually within a couple weeks. I never had a problem with them or their surveys and if I have a question about a survey issue they quickly reply.
College Studies and Surveys
This list will contain College's and Universities. They work a little different than most survey sites. These surveys are mostly conducted by classes or students through a school program. Some will reward you in cash via Pay Pal or they will enter you in a drawing for x amount of Amazon.com gift cards valued at $xx.xx. As an example one says I will be in a drawing for 15 gift cards valued at $75.00 each. They are all different. Each survey will tell you up front what you will get or what type of drawing they will hold. The upside to these and you're hardly ever disqualified from these surveys and they could end up paying quite well. I enjoy these because they're usually short and you just never know. I have won some of these before. You won't get a lot of these but I enjoy doing them. To help education! ;-)
Center for Decision Sciences - Columbia
I will keep updating this list. Remember, the more you sign up with, the more chances you have of getting money making surveys and focus groups!
